Please share any wisdom you've gained thru the years that you wish you knew when you were younger.
Thanks =DWhat's the best advice about life/love/learning that you know?
First of all, the Golden Rule: Treat others the way you would want them to treat you! That includes ALL living creatures. Over the (many) years I've been around, I've learned a lot of lifes lessons the hard way. We were taught by my mom to ';always put yourself in the other persons shoes'; which has made me much more tolerant to other people that I disagree with. You have to remember that everyone has their own road they've traveled on, %26amp; no one knows what they've been 'thru but them. You have to ask yourself, ';Well, if I'd been thru all the crap they've been thru, would I feel the same way?'; It's hard to remember sometimes, but try. About learning: Keep an open mind!!! The only way you can learn anything is if your mind is open to receive the information. Don't go into something with preconceived ideas. A closed mind is an ignorant mind, knowledge can't get in. ';The only dumb question is an unasked question.'; Early in my life a teacher told us that. Not sure if it was his own thought, or if he was quoting someone else, but it's been a good rule for me. Love %26amp; life: Try to remember that no one is any better than anyone else, but by the same token, no one is any less than anyone else. And try not to be judgmental. That's a hard one, but remember nobody really knows who/what's on ';the other side'; but whatever it is, it's not for US to pass judgment on anyone else! All of these pieces of advice kind of go together, %26amp; basically mean to be the best person you can be. Your actions should reflect your beliefs, %26amp; you should always remain true to your convictions. Don't be afraid to ask for advice (obviously you have that one down!) Don't bow down to peer pressure, or take the easier road. Protect the innocent %26amp; helpless. It's your responsibility as a human being. Treat the earth with respect. She's the mother of all things. What I wish I'd known when I was younger: How important family is, %26amp; how short life really %26amp; truly is. Make the most of your time here, %26amp; make sure you enjoy your family %26amp; friends, you never know when you will lose them. What's the best advice about life/love/learning that you know?
Trust, but don't be gullible.
Take more chances.
Try %26amp; save as much $$ as you can.. it gets expensive when you get older!
If someone is mean %26amp; nasty, be as nice as possible to them, they probably have some horrible problems.
Stay in touch with your friends. If you don't, you'll regret it later in life when making friends is quite hard to do!
These are some beliefs that I live by:
-Everything happens for a reason
-The first instinct is usually the correct one
-Be careful what you wish for
-Knowledge is power
-Those who don't study their history are destined to repeat it
-The future is just a concept we use to avoid being alive today
-You're NOT invincible
Dont fall in love
It hurts
ALOT
lol
Nothing in life (achievement, money, social status, conformity, etc.) really matters... just go with the flow.... LIFE IS A JOKE... don't take it too seriously... the only way to turn knowlege into wisdom is to learn through experience.... don't conform to the ';norms'; of society (taking death too seriously, clothing, things, money, social status, being a ';somebody'; or being ';normal';)... respect others for what they believe in... remember:
';All you need is love.';
I wish I had faced my fears earlier. I'm still putting it off, but not as much lately.
All broads want dough. Greenbacks, sawbucks, gold bars, diamond rings, houses, cars, clothes. Give 'em to 'em. You'll be happier.
Let Go and let God!!!
Be very careful what you wish for. I've learned to never hope, dream, pray, or wish for anything anymore.
