The best advice I have gotten in my 25 years on this planet was not told to me, but taught by example. My Grandmother is the most beautiful, kind and giving woman I have ever known, akin to Mother Theresa. She has taught me to love bountifully and be slow to anger. To love people for who they are, not what they have done in the past. To forgive others, to never hold a grudge. To have faith in something. To go for a walk every day, no matter the weather, and feel the elements and be grateful for that day. And so many more life lessons that I can't think of off the top of my head...but these are good ones to start! What is the best advice on life you ever got?
It's not what you know it's who you know.. seriously, in the real world, that makes a lot of sense.
What have I learned?? Relish your mistakes, no matter how dire they are. Learn from them so you don't repeat them and always, always, take responsibility. You have control of your life. You make your own decisions so never try to blame someone else.. And stay away from drugs.
Couldn't take the blame, sick with shame, must be exhausting to lose your own game, selfishly hated, no, after your jaded, you can't blame the victim this time..It's too late.
from my dad while he was dying of heart disease who heard it from his father when he was dying of cancer...the gist of what he told me ...live for today and enjoy what you have, dont think about yesterday because you cant change it enjoy your today because life is way to damn short to waste worrying about things that dont matter.
wisdom is a fine treasure once you obtain it.
integrity is a strong asset in life
trust is almost,yes,always an illusion
no one is going to feel sorry for you when your homeless...go to school, get an education, stay your @ss at work and persevere.
There are only a couple things I'm positive of....
#1. When you get that gut feeling, that upset drop in your stomach that tells you something is WRONG. Go with it, don't deny it because you're right.....
#2.There is no ultimate point to life. That's why your grandma can't tell you ';meaning'; or the life lessons she's learned. There are none. You live 90 years and you still don't know.
Life hits you hard. Make a quick recovery and hit it back ten times better.
live like you will die tomorrow
learn like you will live forever.
