What 3 pieces of advice have you received in life that you have remembered?

And incorporated into your personal philosophy?

Mine are:1) ';Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first.'; From my dad, who evidently heeded Mark Twain's advice.

2) ';When you have your health, you have everything.'; from an 88 year old patient who had been hit by a car. Up until then, she'd been quite healthy.

3)'; Don't bother trying to change other people. Change the way you react to them and it may make all the difference.'; From a wise co-worker....it really works!What 3 pieces of advice have you received in life that you have remembered?
The best advice I received always came rom my grandmother.

No matter what you do in life, always be the best that you can be. If your the president, be the best one that there ever was. If your sweeping and mopping floors, always make sure they are the cleanest ones that you see.

Eat the burnt toast. Someday you may find yourself wishing you had that to eat. And one day in the future, when you're having an expensive meal in a fancy restaurant, think back to this burnt piece of toast. Your meal will suddenly taste a thousand times better.

(She was absolutely right on both parts)

You have to learn to do things for yourself. Grandma won't be here forever to do it for you. This was when I was six. I wish she was still here.What 3 pieces of advice have you received in life that you have remembered?

2. Consider yourself lower than the one you are with and there will be no argument between you two.

3. There are always two ways to view a cup and both are correct; it is half filled and at the same time half empty.
You can't roller skate in a buffalo herd, but you can be happy if you've a mind to.

If you ever need a helping hand, there's one at the end of your sleeve.

Rule number one: Protect your capital. Rule number two: don't forget rule number one.

1. Your not perfect, and this guy you met, he isn't perfect either, but the question is whether or not you are perfect for each other, thats the whole deal, that's what intimacy is all about. You can do anything in the world but the only way of finding out that is by giving it a shot.

2. Love is a hard thing to understand, but the hardest part is understanding that it takes two people to love. You aren't going to wake up one day and say, ';Oh I dont love him anymore'; and he isn't going to wake up and say ';Oh I love her so much'; And if he does it should be more like ';Oh I love her money';, your better then that babe, and you deserve much more then some bypass of love. You deserve the real deal.

~~~My old Best Friend Kailey Davini
3. Everyone cuts around the edges, hun. You just need to find out if that person cuts chunks off the edges or if they are just rounding them out smooth. All that matters is if you find out the truth... And if the truth is not half as bad as you thought it was, give it a shot... Always think of a problem as worse then it should be thought of, so you always forgive and forget it.
