Does making many mistakes in your life automatically qualify you to give good advice?

Does it seem that people who have made continually bad decisions in there lives feel they are most equipped to advise others how to live theirs?

Your thoughts pleaseDoes making many mistakes in your life automatically qualify you to give good advice?
If you learned from all those mistakes, then, yes, it does qualify you. But if you didn't learn and just keep making the same mistakes over and over, then keep your opinion and advise to yourself.Does making many mistakes in your life automatically qualify you to give good advice?
if the mistakes led to self analysis which leads to reassessment etc then that person will be well equipped to lead others. but it's not an automatic thing. Not by a long shot.

Many a time mistakes can lead to self-flagellation and internal isolation which doesn't help anyone, not even the self.

the first takes more strength of mind, but is also achievable if self reaches rock-bottom, which is not of course, ideal.
All i know is everyone has the right to make their own mistakes. It's those that don't learn from them that is the problem. If they keep making the same mistakes and never learning the lesson then they are really talking to themselves more than others. It's just a shame that they don't take their own advice.
Oddly enough the people who DON'T learn from their mistakes are the people who seem to think they've got a right to hand out advice like candy. I always try to learn from my own mistakes and rely on those people close to me that I know have the right experience to offer me advice.
..well they say that *do what you always do...get what you always got.*

.so looks like those are the people who don't learn.. anyone who can recognise their own fallibility quite clearly would always shy away from direct advice i think.
I never judge and I never give an unwanted opinion. If someone asks for an opinion then and only then will I give it. People make mistakes.
Not if you don't learn anything from your many mistakes.
Well a piece of advice I gave to my niece and nephews was learn by my mistakes :)

No one has all the answers but we can all draw on experiences to help others :)
Not if you make the same mistake more than once.
